Former CEF calls
It usually takes several months from the call for applications to the legally binding funding decision by the EU Commission.
A total of 239 applications were submitted for the CEF call for funding 2024 with reference date 21.01.2025. In July 2025, the CEF Committee approved the Commission's selection proposal to support 94 projects in the Trans-European Transport Network. A total of €2.763 billion will be used for funding, of which around €970 million will be allocated to the General Envelope and around €1.793 billion to the Cohesion Envelope. The 24 selected German projects receive almost EUR 426 million, which corresponds to an above-average quota of 21% of all funds for General Envelope.
